      Big House Books

      May 17, 2026

      M.V. Despenza visited Big House Books in Jackson, Mississippi, donating new copies of Little Miracles of Katrina for incarcerated readers in the surrounding area. She also volunteered with the organization, helping fulfill individual book requests by selecting titles from the collection, organizing them with readers’ wish lists, and preparing them for distribution. The visit supported Big House Books’ mission of expanding access to books, literacy, and the connection that reading can provide.
